Updating and additions, while keeping the charter of the building, makes a nicer neighborhood and spectacular home!
Taking a very neglected 1,200 sq ft house into a dream home of over 2,200 sq ft...takes a vision and good design to make it work.
The addition on the back included the new kitchen, family room, mud room, master suite and even a guest bedroom. Removing a sun room and adding an over sized garage gave the family storage.
After a developer purchased a historic house on a double lot in Arlington with the intent to destroy and build two new houses, Michael and his partner were able to move the existing 1890 home to one lot.
The house needed everything from electrical, plumbing, and new HVAC systems. Other changes included a new kitchen, bathrooms, and floors. They were even able to save three fireplaces and the over sized 1910 garage!
"I'm a firm believer that each home has its own life. As we change over time, I think homes should also."
~ Michael
